Changes in services due to COVID-19

 

The Practice, in alignment with direction from the government, is changing our service provision. With immediate effect we will be operating a primary telephone triage service; this significantly reduces risks to patients and the public by minimising contact.

    Altrincham’s first pharmacy-led vaccination centre to open in Timperley

    Altrincham’s first pharmacy-led vaccination centre is to open in Timperley The new centre, the first pharmacy-led vaccine available in the Altrincham area, will have capacity to administer 700 jabs a day. It will be opening at the Larkhill Centre on Thorley Lane on Thursday and will complement the GP-led vaccination service being offered at the Altrincham Health and Wellbeing Centre and St Peter’s Assembly Rooms in Hale. Patients should wait to be invited for an appointment and will then be able to book online or by telephone through the national vaccination booking service.

    Farewell to Dr Davy who retires on the 31st December 2020

    Dr Davy will be retiring on the 31st December 2020 after serving the local community as a family General Practitioner for more than 20 years. All of us at Grove Medical Practice, staff and patients' will miss his smile, charisma and colourful outlook on life and wish him well as he enters the next stage in his eventful life.     Patients in Trafford with an urgent medical need asked to call NHS111 from this autumn

    People who need urgent medical attention at Trafford General’s Urgent Care Centre or Walk-in Centre will be urged to contact NHS111 before attending the hospital from this autumn. To reduce the spread of the coronavirus and seasonal flu, and keep people safe, patients are asked to contact NHS111 before they leave home from Tuesday 27 October.
