Free flu vaccinations rolled out to over 50s from December
People aged 50 to 64 will get free flu vaccine from 1 December as part of expanded flu vaccination programme this winter.
Due to the requirement to vacccinate at additional 11.5 million people this year the Govenment has granted authority and purchased additional stocks of Flublok Quadrivalent (Influenza Vaccine).
This medicinal product does not have a UK marketing authorisation but has been given authorisation for temporary supply by the UK Department of Health and Social Care and the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency for immunisation against influenza. Flublok is licensed for use in the USA by the Food and Drug Administration.
